Okay… I’ve SEEN it!! Yes! The NEW Spring/Summer 2009 Stampin’ Up! Catalog!! It’s fabulous–there are so many cool new stamp sets (lots of good variety) and some gorgeous new embellishments. Yup, that’s me on the right, and my wonderful downline Mary Ellen in the middle, and my friend Tami White on the left.
Oooh… yummy new products!! These are available for ordering starting January 19th… so get your Wish Lists ready! You’re going to love it all, I promise. Notice how you can’t see anything in the catalog above? That’s because I’m not allowed to share yet… you’ll just have to wait until January 19th. Just think of how much you’re going to want to see everything then!!
Can I just say that I’m having SO MUCH fun here? (oh, and learning things, too :-)
For example, last night we went to a Greek restaurant for dinner and I got to take an impromptu belly dancing lesson! I don’t think I qualify to quit my day job though…
Then this morning I had an Advisory Board Alumni Breakfast to attend… 7 am was early, but the setting by the pool was beautiful and the food was well worth waking up in the dark!
Then we had a full day of classes and Stampin’ Up! announcements during the day. My favorite announcement was probably when Shelli Gardner told us that Stampin’ Up! will be releasing a NEW digital scrapbooking program later this year. We got to see a special sneak preview, and I was really impressed by what I saw. Don’t worry, Stampin’ Up! is still going to carry stamps–they’re just adding some cool supporting tools like this one! I can’t wait to try it when it’s finally ready for release :-)
And we also saw some NEW products, like the new Decor Element Stencils. Shelli demonstrated how to use them on the cover of a Stampin’ Up! linen album with Craft Ink. It was gorgeous!! She also used the Craft Ink to dye the flowers from the Pretties Kit, plus added some Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware (it’s on the Inventory Blowout Sale!) and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. (just wait… January 19th, I can show you the great pictures) Wow, can’t wait to give this a try to jazz up some of my albums!
Then tonight Stampin’ Up! took us to Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park for the Manager’s Reception. All demonstrators with titles of Manager and above got to spend the evening riding rides, snacking on great food and playing in the arcade. Thank you Stampin’ Up!
The highlight of my evening was riding the Incredible Hulk roller coaster (supposedly the #1 coaster in the country) FIFTEEN TIMES!! Yup, that was 15, each time with my fellow demonstrator, Jen Bailey, and Rich Jutkins from the Stampin’ Up! corporate team. Crazy, but fun :-) If you want to see a video of the coaster in action, I found one on YouTube.
This is Jen and I, with Shelli Gardner. Shelli and her husband Sterling rode the coaster with us one of those 15 times. And here is the three of us…crazy coaster riders!! Stampin’ Up! had rented out the park for us, so we got to ride over and over again… wow, but like I said, SO much fun!
Tomorrow we’ll be back to business, but this was a great interlude! I tell you, being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator has some GREAT perks :-)
