It’s time for backyard BBQs and picnics, complete with a fancy Bistro Burger and all the fixin’s. You can have your burger and stamp one, too, with the new Bistro Burger stamp set. Want to have it in living color? Add Stampin Blends Markers. And for a fun twist, create the easy Fun Fold Diagonal Cut card for an extra surprise when opening.
These cards are a really easy layout – just score a full sheet of cardstock horizontally and vertically, then cut diagonally on the corner and voila, you’ve got 2 card bases ready to decorate.
Cut the DSP layer (this one is from the new To Market Designer Series Paper pack) to 4″ x 5 1/4″, then cut on the same diagonal as your card front opening. Adhere and you’re set to add the rest of your decorations.
Stampin Blends Markers make for gorgeous saturated colors. They’re sold in pairs with a Light and Dark marker for each color, making for perfect blending and shading matches. Here are my favorite steps to Stampin Blends:
- Stamp the image in Classic Ink (or Memento Black)
- Color the full area with the Light Stampin Blend color of your choice, then go back and add shadow lines with the Dark Stampin Blend Marker.
- Use the Light Stampin Blend to color at the intersection between the two tones to blend the color together. Repeat for as many colors as you’d like.
Images that are cut out make for great focal points on cards – especially with coordinating stamps and dies or stamps and punches. Stampin’ Up! creates these bundles to make designing simple.
