Founder’s Circle: Day 3

This morning started out with a bus ride to Kanab, Utah to visit the facility where Stampin’ Up! manufactures all their rubber stamps. And of course what’s a bus ride without a huge basket of snackies?!

Or without a game of bingo? :-) Neither my friend Colleen nor I won any of the prizes (Stampin’ Up! products, of course!) but we had a great time playing anyway.

Here’s the gorgeous building where Stampin’ Up! stamps come into the world! The facility is only a couple of years old and is constantly updating so that our stamps get better and better and the process of making them is more and more efficient. We couldn’t take pictures inside (top secret!) so if you want to check it out you’ll need to come to the Founder’s Circle retreat with me next year!

In the town of Kanab is a playground that was built with money donated by Shelli Gardner (Cofounder and President of Stampin’ Up!) and her husband. Instead of woodchips, the ground is covered with chopped up rubber from stamp sets! Part of the fun is walking around playing “name that stamp set” with the little pieces under your feet.

And of course each night wasn’t complete without a fun pillow gift… tonight I received a gorgeous necklace with my initial stamped on Designer Series Paper and covered in glitter, then closed inside a leaded crystal pendant. Even the box was fancy–chipboard letter covered with Chunky Glitter and a Pink Pirouette ribbon!
