Looking for a way to help? I’ve donated many packages of the Deck the Halls fabric to my local Quilts of Valor chapter, since the colors fit their mission of patriotic quilts for soldiers. Here’s a recent note from my friend Sharon after a recent blog post:
Thank you so much for highlighting our QOV quilting group in your blog today. We are so appreciative of all you’ve done to help us in our campaign to honor and thank returning service men and women. They sacrifice so much for all of us, this is the least we can do for them. We are trying to keep this endeavor going as long as we can. But, as you know, so far we have used mostly fabric and scraps from our personal “stashes”. We can use any help offered, either fabric, monetary donations or help making the quilt tops. We meet the third Saturday of each month, at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, IL. Start @ 9:00 a.m. and sew til 3:00 p.m. We can always use quilters, hand sewers, cutters, ironers, you name it we can use it. Please pass this along to anyone/everyone you think might be interested in helping us recognize our loyal service men and women. And, again, thank you for all the fabric, cards and support you’ve generously given. Sharon
