Creating with Christmas Pines: Tidings of Comfort and Joy

LovenStamps: Christmas Pines and the Pine Bough TIEF for traditional red and green Christmas (aka Cherry Cobbler and Emerald Envy)

Twinkle lights, manger scenes, mistletoe… what else says Christmas?  How about an evergreen bough, like the ones in the Christmas Pines stamp set?  It’s not quite the season to bring out the decor yet (at least at my house…never mind what the stores tell us), but if you’re a crafter (and you are, since you’re reading this!) then you know it’s time to break out the Christmas Pines to get started on some fun holiday projects!

At the end of September, I spent a couple of days on an amazing retreat with my stamping sisters.  It’s actually an annual retreat that my demonstrator team holds, but I can’t always attend, so being there this year was an extra special treat!  I love my LovenStampfuls demonstrator family and my extended Impeckable Stampers family!

So what happens at a stamping retreat?  Well, stamping, of course, and I loved the chance to sit and create for hours!  This Christmas Pines card was one of my creations from my stamping time.

What else happens at a stamping retreat?  Snacks, treats, friends, lots of laughing, sharing card ideas, inspiring each other, borrowing that one stamp set or big shot die that you don’t actually own… I can’t wait for next year’s retreat!

The camp where we meet is gorgeous, too – with a lake and canoes and space to walk around and relax in nature.  I didn’t get outside too much, but I did head out to do a little photography.  You might have noticed my Stamps in the Mail Club banner for October – with the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set.  I posted a sneak peek on my LovenStamps Facebook page while I was away :)

Here’s the photo of the banner, since I didn’t share that one in the Sneak Peek :)  But Stamps in the Mail Club for October is live, if you want to place your order for the kit and haven’t had a chance yet!
