I guess I shouldn’t begin every Convention post with saying that the day was a whirlwind, but if it’s true, I can say that, right? :-) This was definitely another whirlwind day, beginning with a fabulous General Session.
Jill Kocherhans, one of the Stampin’ Up! staff members, shared several projects with the new Build-A-Bear line (debuting September 1st in the Holiday Mini Catalog!). As demonstrators we get to preorder items from the Mini Catalogs (one more reason to use that $85 kit special and join my LovenStampfuls group ;-) My Build-A-Bear Big Shot dies are waiting for me at home, and I can’t wait to try out some of Jill’s ideas!
Then this evening was the Annual Awards Night, and I was very excited and honored to be recognized as the #20 Demonstrator of the Year, out of all the 40,000+ demonstrators in the US. This is a picture of my mom and me (she’s a LovenStampfuls demonstrator, too!) and I loved having her there with me for the awards.
Here’s the rest of our LovenStampfuls Group at Convention–don’t they look snazzy? These gals (and the rest of our group who couldn’t be here for Convention) inspire me every day.
And our entertainment for the evening was the very talented a capella group, Tonic Sol Fa. They performed after the Awards Night last year, and we were thrilled to have them return.
More tomorrow… although I’m guessing Day 2 will be a whirlwind, also! I have Make N Take sessions tomorrow afternoon, so I look forward to sharing a fun projects or two.
