Convention: Registration Day Whirlwind

Yup, this day was a whirlwind! You might notice that I’m posting this at 1:30 in the morning… this is the first I’ve gotten a few minutes to breathe!

Since it’s so late, and I better sleep at least a bit before heading off to tomorrow’s fun and excitement, I’m going to blog my day in photos…

This is us headed over to the Salt Palace for Registration. In Salt Lake City they have these funky flags that you’re supposed to hold when crossing the street. Of course we get a big kick out of playing crossing guard ;-)

We had the opportunity to visit the Stampin’ Up! Headquarters in Riverton, Utah, which is about 45 minutes away from downtown. Since there were so many demonstrators in my LovenStampfuls group and my “sidelines” who wanted to go, I decided to charter a bus to get us all there. And of course what Stampin’ Up! bus trip would be complete without BINGO? My upline, Kim Peck, brought along a BINGO set for us to play during the trip. And what BINGO game would be complete without Stampin’ Up! products as prizes? ;-)

Here’s my group (and me) at Stampin’ Up! HQ… or at least part of us. A few couldn’t tear themselves away from swapping for the picture. And really, who could blame them? ;-)

The Convention Memento Mall was open today, with a whole huge room full of fun things that we could purchase to take home. And even though the stampers in my Stamp Club with Meg will make fun of me, I am coming home with more clothing in Stampin’ Up! colors! But hey, at least I won’t be coming home with a dress actually MADE from Stampin’ Up! paper, like the one on this mannequin above.

One of my favorite Convention treats is catching up with demonstrator friends from around the country. Here I am with Lynsay Mahon and Glenda Travelstead, two of my dear Advisory Board friends from our 2007-2008 term on the Board.

And I wanted to share at least one fun stamping page… I’m so sorry that I don’t have the name of the demonstrator who created this page, but between the stamping, the Stampin’ Up! cardboard boxes and the cute dogs, who could resist this scrapbook page!

Okay, off to bed for me, and more tomorrow, I promise :-)
