How often do you find yourself thinking about making a card for a guy? Tricky business, isn’t it? Well, it turns out, not so tricky after all! Here are some simple steps to making guy cards easy:
- Change the color scheme – go with subdued earth tones, or a primary color palette
- Take out the glitter – except for guys who wear 14 gold chains around their neck, save the bling for your girlfriends
- Lose the frou-frou – no cute scallop-y edges here
Here’s an adapted card from the one I shared last week. This time featuring the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper (126898 – see it online) – and thanks to the artists at Stampin’ Up! for putting this color palette together! Here are my colors:
- Summer Starfruit
- Cajun Craze
- Not Quite Navy
Here’s the card (created for my Here Come The Holidays Class this evening!):
The card features the Wonderfall stamp set (see it online) and the coordinating Autumn Accents Bigz Die (see it online). The project and step-by-step directions were posted last week on my blog — but sometimes it’s nice to see the process in action (here’s a Video Tutorial)!
Happy Stamping!
