Back from BackStage with Fun Fold Card Ideas Stampin’ Up!® Hobby Haven Suite Collection

Last week was the Stampin’ Up! BackStage conference – so I’m back from Las Vegas with SO many card ideas, inspiration to share and of course, today’s episode of Maker Mornings with Meg! During November I’m featuring the NEW Hobby Haven Suite, along with the Banner Sayings Bundle (and the NEW Three Banner Punch) to help you create a set of fun specialty cards to honor our favorite interests.

Today’s card includes a fun fold that opens the door to loads of options. Pick your favorite hobby and select coordinating cardstock. This Z Fold Strippy Card can be done in a variety of sizes – keep the scoring lines the same but vary the height of the z fold strip and DSP panels. The video includes a tip on how to match up the DSP pattern by cutting one long strip, then dividing into panels.

For the background the flourish dies from the Creative Haven Dies create a perfect mask for adding swirls of color. Using both the masked background (create with Blending Brushes) and the flourish die cuts themselves adds a sense of connection between an otherwise plain background and the fun front focal point tag.
