An Embossing Secret for Window Cards, Step By Step Stampin’ Up!®’s North Pole Delivery Suite

SO many fun new supplies from the Holiday Mini Catalog – including the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder (think BIG die cut greetings – with inked embossing options!) and the North Pole Delivery Suite Collection (think CUTE critters delivering packages and mail for the holiday season). Together these supplies make up the basis for my September LovenStamps Monthly Tutorial feature.

Today’s window card is a fun showcase for a large die from any stamp set or bundle – but for the Christmas bear, it’s perfectly sweet.

The window card opens so that the elements visible on the front of the card are also visible inside.

The real trick of this card though, is that the hole must be cut through both the card base layer and the embossed layer at the same time, BEFORE the embossing is added. To make this happen, attach the unembossed card layer to the card front with one corner of adhesive. Cut the hole, then separate the layers and emboss the smaller layer. Finally, adhere permenantly.

Also inside the card – remember that repeat stamping of a small image can create an excellent background! These envelopes are only 4 images on one stamp. But repeating the images creates a fun collage effect.
