Technique Tutorial: Distressed Texturz

Last month at Stamp Club someone asked me about the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folders in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog. Of course I had one to show: the fabulous Elegant Bouquet Folder. I picked up a little scrap of Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper that was lying on the table (good thing I don’t pick up very well ;-) and the inspiration for this card was born.

This is actually one of the cards that you’ll receive supplies to make when you sign up for my August Big Shot Die of the Month Club. (Don’t worry–I’ll pre-emboss your Designer Series Paper in case you don’t have this folder). And the Thanks Embosslit (cuts AND embosses the cardstock) is included with the August Kit.

The technique will also work on papers that you dry emboss using a traditional Classy Brass Template and an Empressor Stylus or a regular Stylus. Just remember that the paper you sand needs to have a white core for the white accent to show through the printed top of the paper.
