I love a good card with a Fun Fold – so much that I have a whole category for them on my blog! And this particular Sweet Strawberry card layered layout is one you’ll want to use over and over again. The fun doesn’t need to end when the first card layer is opened!
From the front, this card looks just like any other – a pretty layout with a banner greeting and punched strawberries.
But lift up the front and the fun starts with the split in the front layer, and the banner connects the left and right edges.
In the video tutorial, I recommend using a Paper Trimmer to cut through just the cardstock layer first, for the cleanest cuts. Then the designer series paper is added (this DSP is a FREE SALE-a-bration selection only til the end of February!) and the cuts are made again. With the Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer (love it), the measured cuts are pretty easy to make. Be sure to note in the video which direction I cut – it’s easiest to start and end the cuts with my tip.
After the center panel we have the final greeting layer.
This greeting is borrowed from the Berry Blessings stamp set, which is the other half of the free SALE-a-bration DSP used on the front layers. The blueberry set is a perfect complement to the strawberry set…for a full fruit salad, you’ll need both :)
