On today’s Holiday Helper (Episode 45), I shared this fun punch art card. Do you know the Orange Bird character from Disney? Turns out he’s a die-hard Disney fan favorite, so with the Tulip Builder Punch, you can create this sweet fellow (get it? sweet?) for your Christmas greetings.
I’ve always loved this character and he’s appeared more and more on Disney merchandise. But I did a little online research (thank you Disney fandom wiki) and learned more about him before my video today. Turns out that he was created by Disney as a mascot for the Florida Citrus Commission in 1970. While you could find him as a walk-about character in Walt Disney World in the 70’s, now he’s a little more limited. You can find his statue inside the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom.

His head is supposed to be an orange, and has leaves for his arms and the little tuft of hair on his head. He also doesn’t make noise or speak. He communicates with little thought bubbles that include pictures with his message. So this card is the perfect Orange Bird feature – sending you snowy Christmas wishes!
