Christmas Goes 3-D

A few years ago these cards were popular, but it took a recent article in our monthly Demonstrator magazine (yup, another perk of joining the Stampin’ Up! family 😉 for me to get excited about making Shadowbox Cards again.

Here’s a Shadowbox Card using the Delightful Decorations stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog and coordinating Ornament Punch.

The holes in the front of the card and on the inside panel are both punched with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. The strip of metallic paper across the front of the card is from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

Here’s a look at the “guts” of this card, in case you’ve never made one before. There are 3 main pieces of cardstock — the front and the back, which are the same length and scored at the same width, and the inner cardstock, which is a little shorter so that it attaches between the layers.
