Oh the fun we had this past Saturday at Champaign’s Downtown Festival of the Arts! Around 400 of the people (from ages 1 to…well, we didn’t ask) who stopped by my booth took a minute or two to stamp their very own gift bag! One of the highlights was definitely the mother/daughter team who decided to race each other to see who could create their bag the fastest.
I had two fabulous helpers and we were busy all day. There were 4 choices on the bags, and the favorite of all ages was the So Swirly Jumbo Wheel (page 198 in the catalog) in Pumpkin Pie with the Flores llamativas stamp set (pg 138, the Spanish version of “Wow Flowers”).
The second favorite choice was definitely the pink skulls–both guys and girls loved this one! We used the Scary Skulls wheel and the Just Jawing stamp set (pg 29 in the catalog).
The stamping was fun and it was wonderful to meet so many people who were excited to learn more about Stampin’ Up! I’m holding an “Intro to Stamping” class on Tuesday, September 2nd–a great chance for stamping newbies and tentative stampers alike to come and make 3 projects to take home. Want to sign up?
