Star Bellied Sneeches…and all things Seuss

March 2, 1904: Birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel.  What’s your favorite Dr. Seuss book?  This morning Abby was supposed to wear something ‘Seuss’ to school.  And while her younger brother has several Seuss-cartoon shirts, Abby didn’t have anything specific.  So she decided to go as a Star Bellied Sneech.

We didn’t have Sylvester McMonkey McBean’s Star-On Machine, so I cut a star from green felt and we used the Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (see them online) to attach the star to Abby’s shirt.  Here’s hoping it comes off fairly cleanly!  If I’d wanted it permanent, we could have used the Big Shot Fabric Adhesive (see it online) and ironed the star on her shirt.

If you are celebrating Dr Seuss tomorrow on Read Across America Day, try adding a star to your own yellow shirt!
