1 Set of Supplies: 4 Card Ideas
The Outlined Occasions stamp set is a terrific addition (especially for free!) to a stamping stash. The set includes some great words, perfect to complement a ‘fun’ color scheme or designer series paper.
Don’t forget that you only have 3 days left to order during Sale-A-Bration!
This card is based on the Note Cards & Envelopes (see them online) which come 20 to a pack, for only $5.95 (pretty nice, plus they’re convenient to have on hand). I made a couple of layers and scalloped the bottoms to add some interest. The words are stamped and colored with the matching Stampin’ Write Markers.
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
- 123002 In Color Markers 2011-2013 $14.95
- 122940 In Color Printed Brads $7.95
- 124329 In Color Assorted Card Stock 2011-2013 $6.95
- 119882 Scallop Edge Border Punch $15.95
- 107311 Note Cards & Envelopes (20) $5.95
And guess what? The total of bundle before shipping and tax = $51.75, which means you get to pick out a stamp set for free (like the Outlined Occasions set!) with your order, as long as you order before the end of the day on March 31st.
And even more convenient, when you order this from me, I’ll send you a pdf tutorial with directions and cutting sizes to make 4 different cards with this same set of supplies!
Here are some samples from my blog:
- Fresh Vintage stamp set
- Triple Treat Flower stamp
- Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper
- Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brads Bundle
- Elementary Elegance stamp set
- Sprinkled Expressions stamp set
- Outlined Occasions stamp set

Elementary Elegance: Sweet & Simple Embossed Notes
ONLY A FEW DAYS LEFT for Sale-A-Bration! I’m definitely going to miss these stamp sets when they’re gone, but fortunately you can still get them now and enjoy them for years to come.
You have until March 31st to place your order of $50 (before shipping/tax) and then pick a Sale-A-Bration gift for free. Leadership event, using the Elementary Elegance Sale-A-Bration stamp set:
The frame was heat embossed in white on the 3 x 3″ card front, and the greetings (also from the Elementary Elegance stamp set) were stamped on Whisper White card stock and then punched with the Curly Label Punch.

Bright Thanks: A Scallop Square Note Card Trick
Looking for a fun new shape for your cards? Time to pull out your Big Shot Machine (see it online) and your Scallop Square Die (see it online)! Paired with the Outlined Occasions stamp set (free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration) this is a quick & easy note card.
**BIG SHOT TECHNIQUE TIP** The note card is easy. Just fold your card stock in half to make the card. Place the folded card stock on your die so that the fold is INSIDE the cutting edge. The fold won’t be cut off when you put the die through the Big Shot, and you’re left with a fun scalloped note card shape!
Like the colors? They’re all from the 2011-2013 In Colors, which you can get in a set of markers, card stock, printed brads and more (check them out). Even cooler? You could get started on your color collection with my February Stamps in the Mail Club Kit (learn more about stamping by mail).
If you’re in love with the simple circle punch flower on this card, say a ‘thank you’ to Stampin’ Up! for giving me the inspiration. This flower is copied from the hand-made chocolates that were on our Make N Take tables at Leadership last month. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 5 Petal Flower Punch (use one ‘petal’ for the leaf) – (see it online)
- 1″ Circle Punch (see it online)
- 1/2″ Circle Punch (see it online)
- Clear Rhinestone Brads (see it online)

Monochromatic Cards: Fresh Vintage in Black & White
When was the last time you did a card without color? Sometimes a monochromatic card (“one color”) or a black & white card is a refreshing change of pace. Here’s a card featuring the Fresh Vintage stamp set (available as a Sale-A-Bration reward with a $50 order right now).
The card was started on a Note Card & Envelope base (see them online) (yes, I’m addicted to them — here are a whole bunch of ideas on my blog). I cut 1″ off the front of the notecard, then used the Scallop Edge Border Punch (see it online) at the edge of a piece of Basic Black card stock and stamped the Fresh Vintage flourish on the inside of the note card.
Perfect embellishments for this card — Jewels Pearls in three sizes, and the Scallop Polka Dot Ribbon in Basic Black. Yup, it comes in other colors too, but this was perfect for the B&W look. If you’re trying to match the Scallop Circle size, it’s the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. Just add with Dimensionals, and you’re set!
Be sure to check out my other Sale-A-Bration set ideas, or some of my other monochromatic card ideas.

SAB: Sprinkled Expressions Congratulations
Looking for a fun & quick card using the Sprinkled Expressions Sale-A-Bration stamp set? (learn more about Sale-A-Bration) Here’s a simple one made on a 3 x 6″ finished card. Start with a 12 x 12″ piece of Basic Black card stock, cut it into quarters, then fold each 1/4 in half to make 4 cards.
It’s hard to see in this photo, but the bottom Daffodil Delight part of the card is textured using the Big Shot and the Stripes Textured Impressions Folder (see it online). The stamps are both from the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set (free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration).

SAB: Sweet & Simple Sprinkled Expressions
It’s Sale-A-Bration! You might have heard me mention that already, since it’s my fav part of the stamping year. Here’s a card that I created back in December for my LovenStampfuls Demo Group Holiday Party (check out the party). Yup, we were playing with Sale-A-Bration free stamp sets back before Christmas. Feels like that was at least 4 months ago, right? Time flies! And actually, if you’d like to learn more about joining my Demonstrator family, now is a great time with the special! (learn more)
Here’s a ‘sweet and simple’ card using the pre-cut/pre-scored Note cards & Envelopes (see them online). I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch (see it online) at the bottom edge, then put a layer of Sweet Shop Designer Specialty Paper (see it online) underneath to peek out the bottom.
Stamp set? It’s the Sale-A-Bration exclusive set, Sprinkled Expressions (available for free when you order $50 any time between now and March 31st). If you’ve never experienced the joy of Sale-A-Bration, be sure to check out the details here!
The heart is stamped on the front on the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch layer and the greeting is inside: “LOVE you just the way you are”. The coordinating Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon is a perfect match!
I’m completely in LOVE with the Note Cards & Envelopes — here are a whole bunch of ideas on my blog for using them. They’re ready to go whenever I need them–pre-scored with envelopes included. And the smaller card size makes the ‘sweet & simple’ style easy to execute.

I’ve been playing with my new supplies from the upcoming Mini Catalogs, and wanted to share one sample. Okay, 2. I couldn’t choose between them. Here are two cards that we made at my LovenStampfuls group Holiday Party this past weekend:
Love the Designer Series Paper and stamp set and the sweet paper cut-out shape?? They’re all coming, in the Sale-A-Bration Mini Catalog, due out January 24th. OR, you can have them NOW if you’re a demonstrator
Eek! Loving this new Big Shot Die, which makes rosettes a breeze. I was literally doing a little dance in my stamp room the first time I created a rosette with it. This one’s little, but the die also makes rosettes measuring 10-3/4″ across. The Designer Rosette Die comes out on January 4th in the Occasions Mini Catalog, unless you’re a Demonstrator and want to pre-order now…
Okay, enough teasing for now. But really, we do have a lot of fun as demonstrators, whether you want to purchase for yourself at a discount (learn more) or you’d like to build a business that pays for your stamping addic…oops, I meant stamping hobby, or even use your Stampin’ Up! income to pay a family bill or two each month. I’m here to help you get whatever YOU want out of being a demonstrator!
The 2-day Demonstrator Starter Kit special is fabulous — I’m sure Santa would love some help from the UPS delivery truck delivering to your house! (see the Starter Kit contents)
